Social and Emotional Skills Development in Childhood
Project Short Overview
The BE-SELF project focuses on enhancing Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in schools by equipping teachers with the necessary tools, training, and resources to integrate SEL effectively into their classrooms. SEL fosters essential life skills, emotional regulation, and positive relationships, contributing to students’ academic success and well-being. However, the extent to which SEL is implemented varies across educational settings, often depending on teachers’ attitudes and available support. To address this gap, BE-SELF aims to develop professional development tools, digital resources, and assessment procedures to strengthen teachers' competencies and promote SEL-infused curricula. The project prioritizes teacher training and open digital education, ensuring inclusive, high-quality childhood education that benefits both educators and students, particularly those at risk of learning disadvantages or early school leaving.
Project duration: 36 months (01.11.2024 – 31.10.2027)
