Project Expected Outputs
The BE-SELF project results will be:
- High-quality, innovative, and sustainable digital tools - BE-SELF App available in four languages (English, Bulgarian, Hungarian and Portuguese).
- An open online professional development training course to support teachers in embedding SEL practices in their regular classes and activities with students. It will be tested and validated. The course will be available in four languages (English, Bulgarian, Hungarian and Portuguese).
- A professional development toolkit for teachers.
- Literature review - a report with a summary of the literature review.
- Needs assessment to identify the diverse needs of the target groups.
- Training for teachers - certified key facilitators for each partner school.
- Developed measures for assessment of elementary school teachers’ attitudes toward SEL and measures for self-assessment.
- Translated and piloted measures for assessment of teachers’ attitudes toward SEL and measures for self-assessment in 3 countries (Bulgaria, Hungary and Portugal). The measures will be available also in English.
- Feasibility and usability studies of the professional development resources.
- Pre-test and post-test assessment results analysis and report.
- Results’ analysis and report.
- Involvement of around 30 elementary school teachers from the partners’ countries.
- Enhance the professional development of teachers and children’s social and emotional skills.
- Increase the teachers’ competencies in SEL.
- Promote a more inclusive and supportive school environment.
- Wide dissemination and implementation of SEL practices and policies at local, national, and European levels.
- Sensitization of teachers, parents, experts working with children, decision-makers, stakeholders, educational providers,, of the importance of social and emotional skills development.
- Creation of a proactive and effective network maintained after the end of the BE-SELF project.
- Workshops for experiencing the practices, methodologies and tools used during the daily SEL activities.
