
Galileo, founded in 2009 in Budapest, contributes to inclusion policies, quality of education and upbringing, youth participation and active citizenship, economy and social entrepreneurship in Hungary and Europe. Galileo contributes to the Lifelong Learning model, focusing on European citizenship education, youth policies, pre-school education, social and work inclusion, equal opportunities. The main target group is vulnerable groups, such as Roma and ethnic minorities, people with disabilities and at risk of social exclusion.
Another important target is educators and staff of educational and extra-curricular institutions, especially providers of 0-6 education and VET: Galileo has involved hundreds of students and education professionals in different mobility and training projects thanks to the Erasmus+ mobility program.
Galileo has strong experience in the exchange of European good practices, mutual learning and strategic partnership, has a consolidated local and international network with public and private organisations, vocational training and non-formal training institutions, schools, universities, NGOs, special education institutions, associations, social enterprises etc.
Galileo works to increase local development, skills and the quality of education of young people and adults through the exchange of good practices, the sharing and adaptation of processes and models, cooperation and professional debate. Galileo's mission is to fight discrimination, support the employment, social and civil inclusion of all people, respect for rights and strengthen freedom of thought and expression in every context.
